Meals
Nanny’s House provides all food for each child. Nourishing, home-cooked, well-balanced breakfasts, lunches and afternoon snacks are served, as well as beverages as often as needed. The meals are based on the nutritional needs of children of this age group.
Formula of the parents’ choosing is provided for infants, and indivudal feeding schedules for infants are respected. Appropriate foods and eating utensils are also provided, suitable for each age group. Any special nutritional needs are respected.
Napping
Each child is provided with his/her own individual sleeping alcove. Sleeping schedules are implemented with regard for the individual needs of each child. Each child is given a Full-size crib or youth bed appropriate to his/her needs. All bedding is also provided, but parents are welcome to bring a particular "lovey" in order to further personalize their child’s sleeping area.
Clothing, Diapers and Toys
At least one complete change of clothing (preferably more than one) should be brought to Nanny’s to be left in each child’s alcove. This includes undershirt, underpants, socks, shirt, pants and a sweater or sweatshirt. As winter approaches, boots, snow pants, jacket and mittens should be left at Nanny’s so that each child may be prepared to go outside during cold weather conditions.
All diapers and training pants will be provided for each child as needed. Again, special requests on the part of the parents will be respected.
We ask that children not bring their own toys to daycare. This will help to prevent awkward and potentially upsetting situations among the children. Again, a special stuffed toy or doll may be brought for naptime, with the understanding that the toy will be kept in the child’s crib or bed.
